La Natividad La Dolfina: another milestone at the 2025 Hurlingham Open

La Natividad La Dolfina once again carved its name into Argentine polo history after being crowned champion of the 132nd Hurlingham Open, one of the three tournaments that make up the 2025 Triple Crown. On the iconic Field 1 at Hurlingham Club, the Cañuelas-based team defeated UAE Polo 12–9 in a thrilling final defined by the skill and determination of both sides.

La Natividad La Dolfina

This union with La Dolfina brought together an unprecedented blend of experience and youth. Guided by Bartolomé “Lolo” Castagnola, the team has developed a clear identity: speed, precision, and collective play, combining the winning instincts of its four players — Camilo “Jeta” Castagnola (1), Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso (2), Bartolomé Adolfo Cambiaso Jr. (3), and Bartolomé “Barto” Castagnola (4).

A thrilling final against UAE Polo

The match lived up to its final status. UAE Polo, led by Pablo Pieres, Lucas Monteverde Jr., Tomás Panelo, and Juan Martín Nero, started strong and took a 4–2 lead in the second chukker. But La Natividad La Dolfina quickly struck back. From the third period onward, the team tightened its defense, set the pace, and relied on Jeta Castagnola’s precision — once again decisive in the key moments.

With eight goals — four from penalties —, Jeta was the top scorer and the driving force behind the victory. Barto provided control and balance in midfield, while Adolfito and Poroto anchored the defense with experience, tactical awareness, and accuracy.

The final score of 12–9 reflected a close, hard-fought match ultimately decided by the Cañuelas team’s consistency in the final chukkers.

A partnership that defines an era

This title represents more than just another trophy. It confirms the strength of a family-driven, sporting project that symbolizes the evolution of Argentine polo. La Natividad La Dolfina unites not only the world’s best players, but also two generations: the experience of Adolfo Cambiaso, the greatest player of all time, alongside the brilliance of the Castagnola brothers and Poroto Cambiaso, today’s leading figures in modern polo.

For Adolfito Cambiaso, this was his 16th Hurlingham title and 43rd Triple Crown win — an all-time record. Yet beyond the numbers, the true significance lies in achieving it alongside his son and nephews, calling it, as he said himself, “the icing on the cake.”

What’s next: Tortugas and Palermo

With this victory, La Natividad La Dolfina stands as the only contender for the 2025 Triple Crown. The next challenge will be the Tortugas Open, followed by the ultimate test — the Argentine Open in Palermo, where La Natividad claimed the title in 2024 and will look to defend its crown.

La Natividad: legacy, passion, and the present

From the stables to the field, La Natividad continues to strengthen an identity built on excellence and passion. Beyond its names and victories, this team embodies the power of a project born in Cañuelas that now inspires the polo world.
